By using Smoota you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, you will keep it updated, and you will use the Platform only for lawful educational purposes.

User Accounts

You agree to keep your password confidential, protect your credentials, notify us immediately of unauthorized access, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. Smoota reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

AI Tutoring Services

Our AI may explain concepts, generate practice questions, summarize notes, review assignments, assist with study planning, and recommend resources. However, AI responses may contain inaccuracies and do not replace teachers or professional advisors. Users are responsible for verifying important academic information. Smoota is not responsible for grades, exam results, or academic outcomes.

Video Calls & Live Study Sessions

Users agree to behave respectfully, avoid harassment or bullying, not record participants without permission, not impersonate others, and not distribute harmful or illegal content. Smoota may moderate or terminate sessions that violate these Terms.

Study Groups & File Uploads

Study groups are collaborative educational spaces. You may share knowledge, ask questions, and collaborate on learning. You may not spam, promote illegal activities, share hate speech, harass members, or post copyrighted material without permission.

By uploading content you confirm you own it or have permission to share it, it does not violate any laws, and it does not infringe intellectual property rights. You retain ownership, but grant Smoota a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, display, and share it with authorized collaborators solely to provide and improve the Platform.

Gamification Features

Smoota may include XP, achievement badges, daily streaks, leaderboards, rewards, and study challenges to encourage learning. Smoota may modify, reset, or discontinue these systems at any time. Virtual rewards have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash unless explicitly stated.

Academic Integrity

Smoota encourages honest learning. You agree not to use AI to cheat on examinations, submit AI-generated work as entirely your own when prohibited, or misrepresent academic achievements. You remain solely responsible for complying with your institution's academic integrity policies.

Privacy & Data

We collect information necessary to operate the Platform, improve AI responses, personalize learning, detect abuse, and generate analytics. We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security. Avoid sharing highly sensitive personal information through chats or study groups.

Prohibited Activities

Users may not attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the Platform, distribute malware, scrape data, create fake accounts, exploit vulnerabilities, use unauthorized bots, interfere with other users, sell account access, or upload malicious code.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smoota and its affiliates shall not be liable for loss of data, loss of profits, academic consequences, service interruptions, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.

Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically. Material updates will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
